At a time when the coronavirus is killing thousands of people
around the world, many measures are being taken by governments to protect the population. Among these recommendations: avoid contact with the elderly. While these patients represent the majority of cases with severe forms of the disease, young people are not exempt from it. Justin a 39 year old man, presents the symptoms and takes the opportunity to urge people not to take this lightly. A testimony relayed by our colleagues from the Mirror.
On March 4, Justin begins to feel sick and suffers from migraines accompanied by severe pain in his lungs. Subsequently, the young man feels that his breathing becomes less and less obvious.
Worsening Symptoms
Justin, who is a type 1 diabetic, is seeing his symptoms worsen. He explains that he "almost almost passed out for no apparent reason" and therefore decided to go to the hospital urgently.
Through the social network Twitter, he reveals that his condition was such that his breathing was painful and yet, he was diagnosed with influenza by prescribing an inhaler before sending him home.
"They told me that if I felt worse, I should come back to their house, and that's what I did," said the 39-year-old.
Alarming symptoms
When he saw that his condition was not improving Justin returned to the hospital. It was then that the medical team understood that it was not just a flu: the man suffered from a coronavirus infection. The patient was therefore treated in hospital and placed in his quarantined home. When he returns home, the man says that he is better, but does not feel fully recovered. And to add: "Today breathing is so painful. Walking to the bathroom is like a marathon run. " To that end, he went on to warn people reading his message, "Don't believe that chest pain is like a heart attack or the flu - it's not the flu." We all know what a flu would look like. "
Somehow, Justin tries to describe this discomfort by comparing it to lung pain: "It is difficult to visualize but imagine that you breathe cold air coupled with this pain before your lungs warm up"

Justin’s condition stabilizes
Currently, the 39-year-old is quarantined with his family and has to go back to the hospital as soon as his case gets worse. That said, he remains optimistic about his vital signs which remain excellent as well as his breathing which seems more stable. However, he has reservations about the coming days which could be difficult. "If my respiratory rate drops by 90%, I get oxygen, 85% I am intubated, and at this stage, it becomes frightening" confides the young man.
Caution: “Stay at home! "

It is then after this experience that, for the sake of caution, it is addressed to those who underestimate the virus by taking it for a condition slightly more serious than the seasonal flu. He goes on to testify that "the flu is his thing" and that the symptoms experienced are miles away from that.
Justin says he is concerned about the health of others and addresses the eventual nonchalance of some: "Don't sleep on your laurels people. I am a type 1 diabetic but in very good health. My body is fighting this thing very well but it still really hurts me. Don't be silly. Stay at home! "
